WEDDING SEASON :)

La primera ilustración del año / The first illustration of the year

And this is what I came up with on the 1th of January of 2012... This little verse of the Bible was around my head some previous days, and I had to draw something! I was in an european conference called Mission-Net, and actually they had like an "art space", with brushes, pencils, papers... and everything an illustrator could dream with :P I finished this piece in 20 minutes, and the same afternoon somebody bought it (all the money went to the Mission-Net movement). So, even I don't know who got interested in this... thank you so much! I feel glad its gonna be hanged on someone's wall! :)

a wedding details

Lucca.

My dog. Her name is Lucca, but people tend to call her horse, cow, dalmathian... or they just runaway scared. She's so cute.

Ladies and gentelman, introducing Oumarou and his friend peep the bird.
This is an animation I did for the Oumarou project, of the NGO emsimision, that helps deaf children.

This is a poster I made for Laia, a friend that, after finding her charming prince, she married in April. And yup, she loves shoes.

Oumarou

Introducing Oumarou to the world! (or the new image I created for Oumarou)

So, this is Oumarou, the child who inspired the name for the "Project/Program Oumarou" health and hope for the "victims of the silence" (deaf children). "Oumarou" encourages people to godfather one of these kids, so they can go to a special school where they will learn to speak with "sign language", and they will learn a profession in order to "have a future". In Burkina Faso, deaf people are marginalized, and unless you have money to pay one of this schools, you don't have a future. "With your help, we can help them", thats what emsimision thinks, and with the slogan: "health and hope here, there, now" they will certainly make a difference in this broken world!

WHY A BIRD? The bird is Oumarou's pet. He's a deaf child so he doesn't know how sounds the music, or his mum calling his name, or how a bird sings. Emsimision helps him, so now, he's not alone anymore, he could listen to a bird for the first time. He loved so much that sound, that they becomed friends.
